Counter top offerings:
Quartz
is man made and it consists of 90% quartz, the rest of the countertop is composed of resins, polymers, and various types of pigments. It is non-porous making it easier to maintain and harder than granite.
Granite
is a very hard, granular, crystalline, igneous rock consisting mainly of quartz, mica, and feldspar. It is porous and requires more maintenance over time. Since this is a natural, non man-made material, it often requires you to go directly to the fabricator to pick out what slab you want your counter top made from.
Marble
is a metamorphic rock that is far softer than granite. It is susceptible to scratches and stains.
